ARK Breeder Helper

Enter the wild stat levels off your dino's export, weight the traits you actually care about, and see which of your dinos is really worth breeding forward — regardless of overall level.

▸ Advanced: species stat multipliers

Every stat gets a fixed % boost per wild level (below). A handful of species deviate from the default — if you know this species' exact multiplier for a stat (e.g. from a dossier or Dododex), set it here. Leave at 1.00 if unsure — that's the game default for most creatures.

▸ Optional: this dino's colors

Tick a region you know the colour for. Not every region shows on every species — leave the rest unticked.

Import from export gun

Drop in the file(s) the Ark Smart Breeding Export Gun writes — either the human-readable .ini (current stat values, scored relative to your other imports of the same species) or the native .sav file (real wild + mutated levels per stat — the ones that actually breed forward — scored the same accurate way as manual entries). Both formats include the dino's 6 colour regions automatically.

Trait priority

Dial each stat independently — dragging one won't move the others. Drop a stat to 0 and it's excluded entirely, which automatically increases how much every remaining stat pulls in the score. The number in brackets shows that stat's resulting share of the total weighting.

Why this matters: a wild level isn't worth the same in every stat. Each level adds a fixed % of that stat's base value — so a level in a high-% stat is worth more long-term than one in a low-% stat. For this species, one wild level is worth:

Mutation odds

Odds of a mutation landing on one of your prioritized stats (any stat with its slider above 0), based on real breeding mechanics rather than a guess.

Save & load

This browser already remembers your data automatically. Export a file to back it up, move it to another device, or hand your herd to someone else — then import it to pick back up exactly where you left off.

Working on

Add a dino to get started — each species you enter gets its own tab here.

Best source per stat

Add at least one dino to see this.

Recommended breeding pair

Add at least two dinos to get a pairing recommendation.

Target colors

Set the colour you want in each region (optional). We'll check whether your best breeding pair already carries it, or find the safest way to bring it in without dragging the stat line down.

Color-safe breeding

Set at least one target colour above, and have at least one dino with known colours entered.

Weighted ranking your priorities

Scoring model: each stat's contribution is (wild levels × increase-per-level % × species multiplier), weighted by your priority sliders. Only wild and mutated levels are inherited during breeding — the automatic taming-bonus a dino gets on completion, and any manually spent level-ups, both stop with that individual and are recalculated fresh for every new generation, so neither changes which dino is the better long-term breeding source.
